Akshay Kumar, Ajay Devgn stand by Centre as India takes on Rihanna over support to farmers' protest

A day after worldwide big names Rihanna and Greta Thunberg called for help towards the ranchers' dissent, Bollywood hotshots Akshay Kumar, Ajay Devgn and maker Karan Johar have now joined the Center's call to stand joined against "purposeful publicity" against India's approaches.

In a tweet, Ajay Devgn said, "Don't succumb to any bogus promulgation against India or Indian approaches. Its imperative to stand joined at this hour w/o any infighting." 

Sharing the MEA articulation, Akshay Kumar said, "Ranchers establish a critical piece of our country. Also, the endeavors being embraced to determine their issues are clear. How about we uphold an agreeable goal, instead of focusing on anybody making contrasts."

The Bollywood actors were reacting to a statement issued by the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), which said celebrities should refrain from commenting on issues and try to get a “proper understanding of the issues”.

“Before rushing to comment on such matters, we would urge that the facts be ascertained, and a proper understanding of the issues at hand be undertaken. The temptation of sensationalist social media hashtags and comments, especially when resorted to by celebrities and others, is neither accurate nor responsible," said MEA in it his statement on Wednesday.

Expert Bollywood maker and chief Karan Johar, as well, voiced help towards the public authority's mission to stand joined together. In a tweet, Karan Johar said, "We live in fierce occasions and the need of great importance is reasonability and persistence every step of the way. Allow us together, to make each exertion we can to discover arrangements that work for everybody—our ranchers are the foundation of India. Let us not let anybody partition us." 

Suniel Shetty turned out on the side of the public authority stand and said, "We should consistently take a thorough perspective on things, as there isn't anything more risky than misleading statement." 

The public authority response came hours after global pop symbol Rihanna, who has more than 100 million adherents on Twitter, posted a tweet inquiring as to for what reason isn't there a conversation on the progressing ranchers' dissent in India.
